Replace this sample checklist with the receiving and handling instructions used by your laboratory.

Confirm the scope

List the instrument model, serial number, parameter, operating range and required test points. Agree any acceptance criteria, statement of conformity and reporting needs.

Prepare the instrument

Check condition, remove loose contamination using an appropriate procedure, and provide essential leads, adapters, fixtures, software access or power supplies. Record any faults or special handling needs.

Protect the shipment

Use packaging suited to the instrument and include an equipment list with ownership details. For on-site work, agree access, isolation, utilities and environmental requirements in advance.

Keep a record

Retain the request, settings and accessories list so the returned equipment and report can be reconciled against the original scope.

Need to confirm whether your calibration requirement is within scope?

Search by instrument, parameter and range — or send us your equipment list for technical review.
